Devlog 3 : Production commenced!


Welcome to our 3rd weekly devlog. As you can see in the title, we have finally begun production. We are very excited that our prototype was greenlit and that we can start making our game.

Code Cleanup

The programmers have thrown all  prototype code into the garbage can and started anew.
With a more thought out approach, they have made a cleaner and more design friendly foundation for the different mechanics that the game will support.  This will allow for faster future development.

Besides mostly remaking older mechanics, they also started exploring new mechanics like these ice patches wich make both the player and enemies lose control over their movement

Design

This week the artists have divided their attention and power both over modeling their previously made designs and creating further designs required for the game. This week we spent designing the other two weapons, namely the greatsword and the horn, as well as two enemies: the wolf and the undead archer. 

Next week most of these will be seen in 3D. 

3D

One of those designs that made the transition to 3D already is our player model. A final quality check still needs to happen, but the model is ready for unwrapping and rigging. It will be textured as soon as possible so we can see if our style will turn out the way we want it to.
